From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Massandra is a winery in the Yalta region of Crimea, founded on high specifications in the 1890s to supply the tsars' summer palace, Livadia.[1] Prince Golitzin was the first winemaker, succeeded by the first of the Yegorov family, who made wine at Massandra for nearly a century. The modern installation is not used not for winemaking, but ageing and bottling.
