Scott McDonald (born December 30, 1976) is a former ice hockey coach for the Rochester Institute of Technology women's ice hockey team. He started off as an assistant coach with the RIT men's hockey team from 2003 through 2005 and helped the team transition to Division I.[1] McDonald was hired as head coach of the women's team in 2006, and held that position until stepping down in 2018.[2]
McDonald is the all-time leader in coaching wins for the Tigers, compiling a 205-154-29 record in 12 seasons.[3] McDonald also won the 2012 NCAA Division III women's ice hockey national championship, leading the Tigers to a 4-2 win over defending champions Norwich.
