Track Centre v. Track Centres

I cannot say that I have ever heard of this. Maybe there is a difference between "Track Centre" (singular) and "Track Centres" (plural).

• "Track Centre" (singular) which is used to design the layout using the centre line of the track.
• "Track Centres" (plural). which is used to design more than one track in parallel.
