About me[edit]

I am an academic, educated in Berlin, my present place of residence. I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. I volunteer to join the Wikipedia Community as a Wikipedian because as a scientist and feminist I like the idea of volunteering to share information. I strongly support that factual and unbiased information should be freely available to everyone. I discovered that there was a 2010 study that "found that the contributor base to Wikipedia "was barely 13% women; the average age of a contributor was in the mid-20s".[1] A 2011 study by researchers from the University of Minnesota found that females comprised 16.1% of the 38,497 editors who started editing Wikipedia during 2009.[2] In a January 2011 New York Times article, Noam Cohen observed that just 13% of Wikipedia's contributors are female according to a 2008 Wikimedia Foundation survey."[3]

My interests[edit]

COI declaration[edit]

I am employed in Berlin in a Communication position related to energy business. I am neither paid nor directed by anyone to edit or create articles on Wikipedia. I do this from my free will on my spare time. I will abide by Wikipedia's core policies of neutrality, verifiability and no original research when editing all topics. I submit myself to the same respect and standards that is expected from all other editors.

Contributions[edit]

Since I am a multilingual Wikipedian I have volunteered to contribute as an editor who writes and edits Wikipedia's articles. My key areas of focus are fact checking wikipedia articles, tidying up section capitalization and article layout issues, fixing typos and removing vandalism to resolving disputes and perfecting content related but not limited to Celebrities, Corporations and World History related topics.

Research opt-out[edit]

Per Wikipedia is not a laboratory, I explicitly request to not be a subject in research and experiments.
