Double Black Diamond Solar Farm is a solar energy power plant in Sangamon and Morgan counties in Illinois. As of 2023, it will be Illinois's largest solar farm and the second largest in the United States.[1][2] The downstate solar farm will provide energy to Loyola University, State Farm Insurance, and the city of Chicago.[1] The solar farm will contribute to Illinois's goal of carbon-free electricity by 2050.[2][3][4]

The project is currently under construction and expected to be operational by 2024. It is developed, owned, and operated by Swift Current Energy.[5] The capacity is expected to be 800 MWdc / 593 MWac.[5] It covers more than 4,000 acres.[6]
