David Paul (born November 1,1956), is one of the top five Fingerstyle guitarists in the world today and is often referred to as "The Maestro of the Guitar."
He has taken the Chet Atkins guitar style to helped create a new legacy of country music style guitar players which he has expanded its appeal to a more adult pop music fans especially with his originals. He is primarily a very high level guitarist with unique arranging abilities.
David Paul has been playing the guitar since he was seven years old, and he performed in his first recital at age eight. Later, he played with the Garden State Orchestra at age ten as a guest soloist. Paul's playing was so good that Heritage Guitars, formerly Gibson Guitars, has made a model called the "David Paul Signature Guitar."
David Paul is recognized as one of the best Fingerstyle guitar players around and is known for his unique musical arrangements, along with his original compositions. Reviewers have said of him: 'He is the most creative finger-style guitarist on the planet' (The New York Times); "The closest living guitarist in sound, feel and approach to the genre of Chet Atkins" (Guitar Player Magazine).
Here he is doing duets with some of the greatest musicians in the world. Example Mr. Paul has recorded "Old Joe Clark” with people like Brent Mason, Charlie McCoy, Joe Robinson as special guests."

David Paul career started coming out into the scene in 2003. David Paul's Signature Model Guitar came out in 2004 made by Heritage Guitar of Kalamazoo Mi. It did well with over 400 sales mostly internationally UK, France, & Norway and United States His guitar style *(Chet Atkins style) along with his musicianship brought him admirers inside and outside the country music scene, both in the United States and abroad.
Finger Style Guitar[edit]
Fingerstyle guitar is a type of guitar playing that involves using the fingers to pluck the strings of the guitar instead of using a pick or plectrum. This style of guitar playing creates a unique sound and is often used to play complex pieces of music that are difficult or impossible to play with a pick.
Fingerstyle guitar playing requires the use of the right and left hands. The right hand is used to pluck the strings while the left hand is used to fret the strings. David Paul also plays Chet Atkins arrangements and originals that you would swear are being played by Chet Atkins himself. Youtube has censored Mr. Paul 24 times claiming copyrights infringements. Every-time he is recording music he must record a video of each song from a CD or music release. Every dispute has been authenticate to be David Paul playing instead of Chet Atkins even with originals such as, Island Dreams, Sdtraivarius In The Closet, The Way You Make Me Feel, sounded like Chet was playing. It’s possible to play the notes correctly, but getting them to sound like what Atkins plays is a whole different universe. The most difficult part and challenge to this complexed guitar style is sounding like Chet is actually playing. David Paul accomplishes this far better than anyone who plays this style. Chester Burton Atkins Born in June 20, 1924 and Died in June 30, 2001. He is famous as The country Gentleman and Mr.Guitar. He was an American musician who create the Nashville sound, the country music style which expanded its appeal to adult pop music fans. He was best guitarist but He sang on different occasioan and also played the mandolin,fiddle,banjo and ukulele.
His different picking style brought him admirers inside and outside the country scene, both in the United States and abroad.
