Nick Byrd is a researcher studying reasoning, well-being, and technology with projects funded by universities, private funding, and the United States Intelligence Community.

Education[edit]

Byrd majored in Philosophy and minored in Biblical Studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University graduating in 2009. They completed graduate coursework in Philosophy and Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder where they graduated with a Master's degree in 2014. More graduate coursework in Philosophy and Psychology was completed at Florida State University where Byrd completed a Doctorate in Philosophy by mid-2020.

Interests[edit]

Decision-making, critical thinking, philosophical thinking (e.g., moral and political psychology), and related neuroscience are Byrd's primary interests. Byrd is also interested in how such thinking and decision-making is related to technology and well-being.
