Nigerian Books of Record[edit]

The Nigerian Books of Record is a compendium of laudable achievements of Nigerians both at home and in Diaspora. It is one project which is expected to launder the image of Nigerians anywhere in the world.

According to the Director General of the initiative, the project was inspired by the 'Change begins with me Campaign of Nigerian President, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari during the September 2016 official launch of the National Re-orientation Campaign at the banquet hall in the nation's capital, Abuja.[1]

More like Guinness World Records, The Nigerian Books of Record is also a reference book amongst scholars and researchers.

Induction (Method of Inclusion)[edit]

As typical of most reference books, The Nigerian Books of Records operates fully on a research basis, confirming each new entry with justifiable evidences through her research institute which reviews annually but publishes at four years interval. The research center is headed by the Director General of the institute, Dr. David David.[2]

A sport creator, Jomoh Ikem Igbinosun made it into the books in 2019 after he invented a novel sport, The Ikemidcell Power ball Sport.[3]
