Christopher Meyer (born October 16, 1994) is an American actor. Meyer started his career as a teenager on the American soap opera, General Hospital in 2012. He has gone on to appear in episodes of NCIS: New Orleans, The Fosters, Wayward Pines and The Affair. He currently stars as Canaan in the HBO Max original series, The Sex Lives of College Girls. Meyer has also starred in films such as Kicks, Wolves and All Day and a Night.
Early life and education[edit]
Meyer was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.[1] As a child, Meyer was inspired to get into acting by Will Smith's character in the The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He auditioned for BAK Middle School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida.[1] His family would relocate so he could attend. During this time, Meyer was discovered by his agent's assistant when he performed in a production of Zap.[2] Meyer graduated from BAK in 2010.[3]
Career[edit]
When his agent moved his company to Los Angeles, Meyer followed.[1] Meyer did some modeling and also appeared in a commercial for Applebee's before he booked his first acting gig on General Hospital as TJ Ashford.[3] In 2016, Meyer joined the cast of Fox network's psychological thriller series, Wayward Pines as Mario.[12] Later that year, he made his film debut in the Kicks.[13][14] In October 2017, it was announced that Showtime's The Affair had tapped Meyer for the recurring role of Anton Gatewood.[15] In 2018, he signed onto the cast of the Netflix original film, All Day and a Night.[16] The film premiered in 2020. In March 2020, Meyer was cast in the pilot Maverick for The CW.[17]
