The Church of St. Albert is a Roman Catholic church building in Albertville, Minnesota, United States. The current church's address is 11400 57th Street NE Albertville, Minnesota 55301.[1] The historic old church, rectory, and convent buildings are still present and are closely located to the current location.
History[edit]
The 1st church was constructed in 1906 with the help and guidance of Fr Joseph Jagerman, followed by the construction of a rectory and convent.[1] The Old church, rectory, and convent buildings are still present in the area. The 2nd present structure of the church was built in 1973.[2] The parish of St. Albert was started in 1902 under the leadership of Fr. Joseph Jagerman. From 1915 to 1968, a parish school was created for St. Albert Church, staffed by the School Sisters of Notre Dame.[1] The Church of St. Albert’s Parish Center was built after tearing down the old parish school. A cluster relationship was started with St. John the Baptist in Dayton in 2003. In 2015, this cluster relationship was ended and St Albert was instead clustered with the Church of St. Michael. The Church of St. Albert is currently served by Fr. Peter Richards and his associate pastor, FR Joah Ellis.[1] Our parish was born on Feb. 10, 1935.
Mission Statement[edit]
The church of St. Albert's goal is to support one another strengthen Christ's presence in one another and be eternally forever with him. The church of St. Albert's strives to grow in God's love through the celebration of the holy Eucharist and other sacraments.
