Personal Background[edit]
I live in Salt Lake City, UT with my significant other and our two wonderful dogs. We just bought a house (from offer to close in 18 days!) and moved over Labor Day weekend. As such, we are still unpacking and getting settled... and renovating! We spent the first day moving into the house and the second day tearing down a wall. Right now, it's a total construction zone and things are a little chaotic, but we make it fun. I am originally from Texas, but I moved to Utah two years ago (2011). I fell in love with the outdoors and I knew I couldn't leave. My favorite activities include hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding and running.
Education[edit]
I graduated from the University of Texas in May 2011 with a BS in Biology. I worked in a neuroscience lab for three years exploring the pathophysiology of mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. I also completed two summer internships as an Amgen Scholar and a Leadership Alliance Scholar at UCSF and Brown, respectively. Currently, I work as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at a medical device company in Salt Lake City.
