Maggs and Trish are a musical duo from the UK formed in 1988 and signed up by RouteNote[1] In March 2012 and released noteable songs such as Put Some Washing In [2], Dance With Me [3] and the 50p Rap[4].

Biography[edit]

Formed in 1988 at a karaoke performance have become very popular in the US and UK

In 1993 the duo bacame a trio and called themselves the Maggs and Trish group after having Linda Brown join them on tour. The group released a VHS of their karaoke performances and sold in bulk. In 1993 their first single Rose Garden which is still a big hit of theirs now.


In the fall of 1994 Linda Brown announced she was leaving the group but still remained close to the duo.[5]

With success the duo toured across the UK at many venues singing and dancing but in 1996 had a break from their music career. In 1998 they were back with another VHS with more performances but this would be their last hit for over a decade.

In 2001 marriages they were in broke down and so retired from the music industry.


In 2007 things started to pick up again as the duo started to perform karaoke again and were performing at large bingo halls. In 2008 the duo were at Bridlington, Manchester and Leeds for concerts.[6]

In 2009 the biggest tour since 1994 took place in leeds for 2 weeks in Leeds performing in pubs and clubs.


In 2010 the tour of York took place and the released their second single When The Saints their first record since 1998 but the last 3 days of the tour of York were cancelled duo to a car crash which the driver lost his life. On The bayou single was released in tribute as all profits funded the funeral. [7]

The next year in 2011 the duo went on another tour for the summer and began recording their first album 'Live At The Oaktree' which was released in July 2012.

2012 started out to be their best year yet after signing up with record label Routenote with two hit singles Dance With Me and Masquerade but later announced they were having issues with work so would have a break from music but Trish didn't quit music and started her Solo Career.


However in September 2012 the duo decided that they would re-form and play some gigs at Halloween. The Very Best Of Maggs and Trish will be out in November 2012. In December the duo added a new memeber to the group their friend Rachel who helped them with backing vocals in York 2010.

In 2013 the duo started their 25 years tour around the UK and released their single. At the end of the year they will then release another album '25 Years On'.[8]
