She was amultiple time All-MEAC performer and NCAA regional and national qualifier. She was also a member of the several academic honor clubs and astudent-athlete Dean’s List member while an undergraduate at Hampton.

Idlette graduated from Hampton University in May of 2007 with a degree in business management and a minor in finance and pursued her Master of Business Administration in Florida Atlantic University.[3] As of 2012, she is a student from the Florida A&M University College of Law.[4]

Star Track: Lavonne Idlette May 05, 2004 Lavonne Idlette was known for her track-and-field versatility at Bethel and is continuing to show her skills at Hampton University. A 5-foot-5 freshman, she placed third in the heptathlon last weekend in the MEAC Championships at Lake Buena Vista, Fla., helping the Lady Pirates cruise to their third consecutive team title. She scored 4,167 points in the seven-event competition that includes the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 meters, long jump, javelin and 800 meters. She also placed seventh in the 100 hurdles at 15.12 seconds after running a 14.40 in the preliminaries, and she finished 11th in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 10 1/4 inches. In high school, she contributed to Bethel's state Group AAA title teams, including the 400-meter relay crown last season. Idlette lead the Hampton's Women's Track & Field team in both High Jump indoor (1.67m) and outdoor (1.65m).[15]

Idlette help the women's team of Hampton University to win the 2006 Mid-Eastern Athletic Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a bronze medal in the 100m hurdles and a 6th in heptatlon (4,210).[16]

2007 Pepsi Florida Relays - 4/6/2007 to 4/7/2007 Hosted by: University of Florida Percy Beard Track: Gainesville, Florida representing Hampton she was 12th in the 100 Meter Hurdles (13.95) qualifiers, not qualified and had a 4.81m jump in the Long Jump competition, finishing in the 15th position.[19]

In 2007 she served as assistant coach to head coach Alex Armenteros at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida[20] and volunteer assistant coach for the track and field program from the Florida Atlantic University assisting al coaches and getting involved in administrative work as well.[3]

Idlette represented Florida International University since 2009 to 2010 in athletics competitions.[21] She participated at the 2009 FAU Twilight Invitational in Florida Atlantic University posting a 11.99s and a 6th place in 100m.[22] In march 19th she set a 12.05 in 100m for an 8th place in the Miami Hurricane Invitational.[23]
