From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello

I am new to the Wikipedia world. I didn't realize how big this community was. I have been browsing through the Wikipedia site and I am in awe. I didn't realize how complex the procedures were for posting information and pictures on Wikipedia. It boggles my mind, but it is also a very interesting web site.

I have always been told that Wikipedia is not a credible source to use when writing papers. Some say it is true and some say that it is not. I have a question: who authorizes the material to make sure that is it correct and appropriate for publishing for everyone to see?

Any input would be helpful!

I can say that I was a little nervous about making my first post on Wikipedia. I am anxious to see what the responses will be, if anything.

I am still trying to get used to Wikipedia and all its functions. It is a lot to take in. I like it so far.
