This page serves as a location for my admin coaching from Prodego.

- To start out, I notice you have been making a lot of automated edits. In order to pass an RfA, the community needs to know (and trust) you. It is good that you are improving articles this way, it is a job the needs to be done, but you may want to expand into other areas: RfA, XfD, the admin and community noticeboards. This allows people to see your views, and provides name recognition. The deciding factor is trust, so by giving your input you allow others to see what you would do under situations an admin might get caught in. The less appealing side of RfA is the editcountitis side. Some !voters overvalue edit count, and it is used as a tool to get a quick look at a user. You have made 1391 edits, and have been here since October 06. It seems to me the average candidate has made 4000-6000 edits, so you are still early. When to take an RfA depends. Firstly you must feel ready to be an admin. This means you should understand everything you can do as an admin, and all the policies. Secondly you must chose whether to play it safe and wait until you have a good amount of extra edits and extra time then the average candidate, or go earlier. If you fail an RfA, you should wait about 3 months before trying again, so the last one is not an issue. The best option for you is to continue what you are doing, and become more vocal in minor situations (RfA, AfD) until you are comfortable commenting on the noticeboards. - There are no 'correct' answers. Answer the questions as you truly feel. Obviously, you can't predict every situation, but your judgment is what the RfA is on, so it is your responses and history that matter. Prodego talk 21:31, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I guess you're right. Anyway, on an unrelated note, it would be great if you kept an eye on my contributions, and (constructively, obviously) criticize on anything I might be doing wrong. - I've recently had (and am still actively having) a dispute with Billy227 (on my talk page and his). This is more of a general Wikipedia-related question than admin-coaching related question, but, as I go on, I've got a feeling I'll encounter disputes like this in the future. I've tried taking some steps outline in the policy to solve them, but they are hard to reply as they all relate to article-related disputes. How should I go about dealing with these?

- Impatient for what? Keep in mind adminship is not a trophy to obtain. If I had to give you a date, I would say 2 or 3 months. However, I personally like to wait longer, 4 perhaps. It depends on your activity. Prodego talk 20:50, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
