BAMM.tv (Bricks and Mortar Media), is a San Francisco-based media company that enters a direct music licensing relationship with independent artists to record high-definition video of live performances and distribute the content to mobile, web and television platforms.[1] Unlike major label agreements, the artist retains 100 percent of the underlying copyright and publishing rights to the work, and participates in a 50/50 net profit share. [1][2][3][4] BAMM.tv is one implementation of the concept of Voluntary Collective Licensing proposed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation in 2008.[5] Its publicly distributed music videos are released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 3.0 US license.[6] In November 2013, BAMM.tv was recognized in a UK Trade & Investment publication as one of the leading creative agencies operating in the United Kingdom.[7]

Partners[edit]

BAMM.tv distributes its content through various global partners like Samsung Apps, Mozilla, Chungwa Telecom, Samba TV (formerly Flingo), SelecTV, Fuugo, Ringz.tv, and MunduTV, reaching audiences in over 150 countries on mobile devices, television and the internet.[1][3][4][8][9]
