Warning to 83.221.192.34[edit]

In regard to my resent vandalism warning to 83.221.192.34 I feel I own a explanation. Several factors went into this decision:

1. User contributions from this user have all been in form of in-appropriate external links.

2. A neutral warning regarding this was posted to the user's talk page on November 8, 2006 11:07.

3. On Decemeber 6 2006 this user once again posted inappropriate unmarked forgien language links to Device driver.

I reposted a more aproriate warning today. It may not be vandalism but it definatly does not belong.Phatom87 20:51, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Image:NewYorkTimeson_Iphone.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:NewYorkTimeson_Iphone.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. feydey 07:17, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Gribble[edit]

I don't know whether it's something you've got control over, or whether it's a wikEd issue, but your edit to gribble [1] had to be almost entirely reverted. Lists in taxoboxes need to be spaced with <br /> tags to format correctly, and changing an article between different (consistent) spelling systems is not considered good form (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English). --Stemonitis 12:02, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

First off my I would like to appoligize for the spelling change I was not aware of this particure variant. I will be more carefull in the future. The format change apears to be an issue with wikEd as the script did that. I try to avoid using the automated replacement features for just this reason you never know what they will do by mistake. Wikipedia:Redirects to be made[edit]

Hi, Phatom! I wanted to thank you for your attention to Wikipedia:Redirects to be made. However, there seems to be a misunderstanding. The purpose of the RTBM page is to create the appropriate redirects after an article has been created -- not before. Redirects created before the article they point to has been created are in fact subject to speedy deletion. -- Antaeus Feldspar 21:03, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
