As debating topic[edit]

Bio-Ethics is a common debating topic for groups, with the polar views of Transhumanist being Traditionalist. Bio-Ethics as a debate topic is not however limited to Sci-Fi context, including ongoing and modern laws and many very important decisions regarding how ethical it is to demand immunization and whether animals should be test subjects. Due to the wide umbrella term of Bio-Ethics it is often debated in facets, rather than ambiguously.

Community of Inquiry[edit]

As a COI topic, Bio-Ethical statements vagueness is often discouraged, though the nature of ambiguous questions compatibility with COI is topic of debate itself. In 2013 @ the NNSWPhilosothon(Hosted by BDC) one topic was "The human species in 22013", which was both criticized and applauded for its openness and ambiguity.
