Hello! My name is Aakash Gautam, and this is my user page. I am a developer by profession, an astronomer and educator by passion, and a philomath by curiosity. I go by "Aakash" in real life, but often by "Planet Aakash" online and in astronomy and education community.

I was born on May 25, 1998, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. I have been communicating space science and astronomy with general public and students since 2015. I founded Planet Aakash School in 2018 - an online astronomy education website for students, astrophiles, amateur astronomer and space lovers.

In 2019, I co-founded CosmosNow - an astronomy and space magazine which mostly curates content for amateur astronomers.

I communicate astronomy through videos on YouTube, Infographics on websites or in collaboration with media houses, visual learning imagery on Facebook, Imgur and Instagram.

Why i am on Wikipedia?[edit]

Paramount Reason: To educate public about Astronomy, Space Exploration Advocacy.

General Reason: There are 7840 astronomical or deep sky objects in NGC (New General Catalogue). Though about half of them are already covered on Wikipedia, however the other half needs attention. So, I am on a mission to at least cover 1000 NGC objects by the end of year 2020.
