Considered one of the most elaborate national dresses, the Panamanian Pollera is a work of art that takes many years and many hands to create. Dating as far back as the 17th century, the dress was used to work, in its simplest form and to go out on the town in its must luxurious version. Since the dress is a part of the culture and folklore of the country it has evolved over the years and the changes can be seen in every aspect of the dress.
