Christopher P Bacon (/ˈbekən/; born 9 February 2011) is a Canadian-born porcine artist, best known for his work in mixed grocery. His work has been featured in a variety of prominent recipe books and magazines, pork rind packaging and grocery store displays, as well as in the shop windows of artisanal butchers and delis around the world.
Biography[edit]
The seventh oldest of 23 siblings, Christopher was born and raised in a sty near the town of Hamsworth, Saskatchewan, Canada. Christopher showed propensity toward art at a young age, recreating works by the likes of Rembrandt and Van Gogh in his slop trough at dinner time.
After narrowly escaping the slaughterhouse Charlotte’s Web-style, Christopher enrolled in the prestigious Art Institute of Chutneysborough, where he gained notoriety for eating other students’ art supplies and pooping masterpieces. It was there he met his future wife, Barbara Cueribs.
In 2013, Christopher moved back to Canada, settling in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Since then, his unique blend of flavour and visual flair has been a mainstay of the Canadian prairie art scene.
