I believe this table is much more aesthetically pleasing than the one in the current article. This table has longer column widths which allow us to spell out 'bottom 3' in full rather than making the awkward abbreviation of 'Btm 3'. There is no need for gender colours as there are two tables in the article which tell us the male and female semi-finalists/finalists. As far as the colours for Elim/Bottom 3 go, I have used palegoldenrod for Elim and used different gradients of yellow for 'saved first' and 'saved last'. I understand that they may need to be changed by consensus however the main purpose of my table is to demonstrate the improvements regarding column width and font size/styling.

I actually don't mind the red even it it slightly jars with the colour scheme of the headings etc. I don't like the red for the semi-final eliminations however I think the red blends in with the different gradients for 'Bottom 3'. Tell me what you think?
How about you replace the palegoldenrod color with just red. As far as I know, red is sometimes considered to symolize being in the finals. --AT40Reviewer (talk) 00:54, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Sorry it took me so long to do this. I think this gradient is good to use and is very simple to understand. If some will argue that the color is too "bright" or too "dark", we can lighten it a little. What do all of you think about it? --AT40Reviewer (talk) 01:16, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

It might take some getting used to because we've been using the palegoldenrod for so long, but I think this blue is a good neutral color like the palegoldenrod but works better for a variety of reasons. First of all, I was able to make a much more distinguishable gradient with it. Second of all, palegoldenrod is an ugly color to begin with that doesn't have any meaning anyway, while blue is a good choice because it is a prominent color used on the show...we see it in the logo, graphics on the screen, stage lighting, etc. MarkMc1990 (talk) 06:37, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
