Me and diabetes[edit]

At the age of 2, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. (Don’t get confused with type 2). I wear these things on my arms and legs to help make life easier. One of the two is supposed to give me insulin, a growth hormone. The other, is supposed to check my blood glucose. If my blood glucose is low, I usually just have some sugar and wait 15 minutes. If it is high, I take insulin which lowers blood sugar. When I eat I test my blood sugar and take insulin for my food, which increases my blood glucose. Now I should stop talking about this...

type 1 and 2 diabetes[edit]

type one is where your pancreas can’t make insulin, type two is where you can make it but your cells don’t know how to use it.
