I am an Instructional Design Specialist at the Florida Virtual Campus and serve as the Project Manager for The Orange Grove, Florida's digital repository. My work and research focus on open educational resources, and disruptive and innovative technology in higher education distance learning. My vitae information can be found on my personal website.

In addition to my open educational resources work at FLVC, I also serve on the Community College Consortium for OER (CCCOER) Advisory Board. The mission of CCCOER is to expand access to education by promoting awareness and adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER). Just recently, I have had the fortune of being the principle investigator during the last year of the Open Access Textbook Project. We were able to complete a number of goals in just that one year alone that were of benefit to the OER community. One key deliverable was the results from a state wide OER faculty and administrator survey and a student digital and OER survey. Our team also organized a national symposium on digital and open textbooks that provided our state higher education institutions with an opportunity to learn about digital and open textbook innovative practices from experts in the field. There is a Creating OER and Combining Licenses video and a Creative Commons license generating tool created to assist in the combining of CC licenses that the OER community may find useful.

In addition to serving the OER community at large, my efforts continue to be focused on Florida Virtual Campus OER projects, innovative technology, and distance learning course development initiatives. I look forward to an opportunity to work with the OER community on this Wikipedia project.
