EUR-ACE is a, primarely, European accreditation system for engineering programs offered at Higher Educational Institutions (HEI)^[1]. The system is a European counterpart to the US based ABET. EUR-ACE is developed and maintained by the network called European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE). Accreditation of individual programs are made by national accreditation agencies that are authorized by ENAEE to do the EUR-ACE accreditation.

The accreditation scheme comprises of a public set of criteria^[2], that the individual programs should fulfill. The assessment of programs happens during a visit of a accreditation team. Successful accreditation results in a label to that specific program, which can be used for promotion of the programs.

Programs accredited is mainly offered at European based HEIs^[3], but as some European universities have activities outside Europe, several programs offered outside Europe has also received the EUR-ACE label^[4].

As of the 29th of March 2012 more then 750 programs has been awarded by 7 agencies^[5].
