Beth Griffith Manley[1] (born August 09, 1972), better known as BETH is an American Singer, Songwriter, Actress, Voice Over Talent, Radio Co-Host and Businesswoman. She is a member of NBC's Season 16 The Voice. She released her first single "Pillow Talk" in 2016[2], on Aug 07, 2017 she released her debut album "Free"[3] and Dec 1, 2017 she released holiday single "All I Want Is You For Christmas"[4].

Early Life[edit]

Griffith was born in Detroit, MI. Her mother Elizabeth Griffith and late father Johnny Griffith of The Funk Brothers[5]. Griffith is of African American descent.

Career[edit]

Beth got her start as a receptionist at Harmonie Park Studios, where she began doing voice over work and singing on demos; catching the ear of Michael J Powell. Beth sang background vocals on Yolanda Adams "What A Wonderful Time" October 09, 2007[6]. After being introduced to Anita Baker by Michael J Powell; she began touring and singing background for Anita Baker [7] and later Kem [5].

2019 The Voice[edit]

Griffith-Manley auditioned for season 16 of The Voice in Chicago, IL. Griffith-Manley entered the blind audition with detroit's own Aretha Franklin song "Until You Come Back To Me" [7]; receiving a chair turn around from John Legend and shortly after Kelly Clarkson whom Beth chose as her first coach. She was stolen by John Legend after the battles and eliminated three weeks later on the live shows with a stellar performance of Nina Simone song "I Put A Spell On You".[8]
