Joseph E. Payne is a Canadian Scientist and Businessman. He is the Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of Arcturus Therapeutics, an American Biotechnology company.
Early life and education[edit]
Joseph E. Payne was born in Calgary, Canada. Born to Bill and Joan Payne he was the youngest of seven children. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, magna cum laude from Brigham Young University, a Master of Science in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Calgary and Executive Training Certification from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Career[edit]
Payne’s background includes over 20 years of successful drug discovery experience at Merck Research Labs, DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Kalypsys, and Nitto as evidenced by over 40 publications and patents, and several investigational new drug (IND) clinical candidates.
Personal life[edit]
Payne lives in San Diego and with his wife and has two sons.
