Tom Wagner is an open source plant breeder residing in Everett, Washington.[1] His most famous creation is the Green Zebra tomato.[2] Several of his newer tomatoes (Helsing Junction Blue, Verde Claro, Skykomish, Matt's Folly, Red Striped Students, Yellow Striped Students,Churra Plum) were featured in a Better Homes and Gardens article titled "A better Tomato" May 2013. Tom is also well known for his work in potato breeding, including his work in bringing back the Irish Lumper with improved disease resistence.[3]
