User:Retiredprogrammers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, I'm a retired programmer. I write a lot and I like to build little apps. I recently started to think a lot about trying to preserve the history of programming now that it's moving so fast. So most of my contributions might be on computers (my first computer was a VIC-20), programming languages (my first language was PASCAL, then FORTRAN and Java), software developers I've studied over the years, computer companies, and other places I feel I actually have something of value to contribute. I also like to restructure paragraphs to make them easier to read, add citations, and link to other articles where appropriate. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing but it reads better and references other materials afterwards (or so I seem to think)...
