Richard Sharman Richard Sharman born 24 June 1982 is a British Athlete who competed in Bobsleigh. He started his career as a decathlete, but focused entirely on Bobsleigh after joining the British Armed Forces. He made his international debut for Great Britain at the 2007 Europa Cup / World Cup and went on to compete at the 2007 World Championships in St Mortiz Switzerland. Sharman came to prominence in 2012, after his four man team finished in silver medal position at the World Championships in Lake Placid. This would be the last of three appearances in the World Championships.

Initially coached by John Anderson. He is also a classically trained pianist, is a qualified aircraft technician and experienced engineer. Richard is currently engaged in running and managing E commerce business and has a nutrition business.
