Dominic Carter (born 23rd December 1993) is an English semi-professional footballer who is currently dual-registered with both Harrogate Town FC & Droylsden FC in both the Blue Square North and the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
Career[edit]
Youth/Amateur[edit]
Dominic Carter came through Westend Juniors before joining Leeds and being released and had subsequent unsuccessful trials with Bournemouth and Hyde United.
Hyde United[edit]
Dominic trained with Hyde United for 3 months during the 2011/12 season, and played in a number of games for the reserve team. However, he was not offered a non-contract to be eligible to play in the Blue Square North for the Manchester based side.
Harrogate Town[edit]
In May 2013 following a lengthy lay off from injury, Carter was offered a long-awaited trial period with both Harrogate Town and Droylsden FC following recommendation from Ted Davies, the former Stalybridge Celtic youth officer who had been keeping tabs on the player at Hyde.. On the 10th of May 2013 he signed a 18 month non-contract with Town. He was given a first team shirt number of 29. On the 6th of July 2019, his contract was mutually terminated without playing a game for the club.
Stockport County[edit]
Carter spent the full 2013/14 pre-season with Stockport County playing in each of their senior friendlies. He made his senior and semi-professional debut in a 2-0 win over Oxford City in the Conference North. Carters last game was a 3-0 loss to Squires Gate.
