Chad Anheliger

Born December 1, 1986 in Kelowna to Nadine Anheliger (Hunter) and Jeff Anheliger. Chad was raised in the village of Consort, Alberta along with brothers Kyle (Sept.1988) and Reese (Sept.1993)


MMA Career: Begun training in mixed martial Arts in his early 20's in Calgary, Alberta with Canuckles MMA. Chad immediately displayed a striking prowess and after a brief one fight amateur career (TKO win over Peter Orosz) he turned professional.

Upon doing so his overall game was exposed as he fell to 0-2. He managed to even the record at 2-2 before losing 3 in a row and taking a break from competition. All losses via submission. At this point Anheliger opted to wipe the slate clean and switch gyms to Champions Creed MMA in Calgary. Here he was treated as someone brand new to the sport in order to demonstrate his commitment to the gym and himself. Anheliger went on a 9 fight win streak following this switch picking up the Flyweight and Bantamweight titles for RIse FC. Following defending his Bantamweight championship against future Ultimate Fighter runner up Brady Heistand; Anheliger faced Muin Gafurov in a split decision win for Dana Whites Contender Series. Earning himself a four fight UFC contract just 3 months before his 35th birthday.
