Abhinash Mansingh is a P.hd scholar at School of Life Sciences, Sambalpur University, Burla.[2][3]

Early life and education[edit]

From early time he was interested in writing poem, story [4]and also had a keen interest in Science. He went to itamati college of engineering, itamati. He completed his graduation from Utkal University under Zoology honours, later he pursued M.sc from Central university of Orissa, Koraput.[5] Currently he is dowing P.hd in School of Life Sciences, Sambalpur University, Burla.

Life[edit]

He married in year 2021. Both the couple published their first poetry Sankalan Sakshi during their marriage.[6]

Research and career[edit]

He was the recipient of JRF at Central University, Odisha, Koraput under ISRO in association NRSC.

His field work is on both Marine and Terrestrial. He worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research fellow (SRF) in a National Project entitled “Measurement of Vegetation and Biomass Parameters under Vegetation Carbon Pool Assessment (VCP)- National Carbon Project (NCP)” of ISRO, Department of Space collaboration with National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad. He had a teaching experience as assistant teacher at Sai Sahara Residential School in Nayagarh district for one year. He is also a Life member of Dolphin Nature Conservation Society Visakhapatnam. He did his Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology.

Research[edit]

He was a Volunteer in the Sixth Foundation Day Programme organized by Central University of Orissa (Odisha), Koraput on 29th August 2014.

Publication[edit]

He had contributed on Ethnopharmacology and Biodiversity of Medicinal Plants.[7][1][8][9]Also, his recent article on Assessment of biodiversity and biomass carbon stock from an urban forest: A case study of Sambalpur university campus forest reminds us the importance of forest.[10]

Other works[edit]

Along with research, he had a keen interest in poetry and literature.

Work[edit]

  • He gave an oral presentation in 7th India Biodiversity Meet 2019 on theme of Biodiversity and ecosystem functioning which was held in Indian statistical Institute, Kolkata.[11] He gave a presentation based on his paper Land Use and Land Cover Changes in Jharsuguda: A Highly

Industrial District of Odisha.[12]

  • He published article on "Distribution, diversity and abundance of molluscs in the intertidal profile of the Bhitarkanika mangrove ecosystem", where he studied molluscan community in two different intertidal profiles of the Bhitarkanika mangrove. The study revealed the occurrence of various molluscan species represented by gastropods and some bivalves.[13]
