Rowan Vickers (Actor)[edit]

Rowan Vickers (born Rowan Stewart Vickers; June 11th, 1993) is a Canadian stage and screen actor who is currently studying at The Juilliard School in New York City. He grew up in London, Ontario where he made his first professional onstage appearances in The Grand Theatre's 2003 production of Peter Pan, directed by Susan Ferley and The Stratford Shakespeare Festival's 2004 production of Macbeth directed by John Wood. In the early summer of 2004, Rowan and his family moved to Bermuda where he attended Warwick Academy, graduating in 2011 with an International Baccalaureate Certificate. Since graduation Rowan has been studying at The Juilliard School.

Early and personal life[edit]

Vickers was born at St. Joseph's Hospital in London, Ontario, the son of Jane Vickers (Jane Elizabeth Maddocks; October 22nd, 1962) and Kenneth Vickers (Kenneth Evan Vickers; October 28th, 1961). He has two sisters: Erin (Erin Lee Margaret Vickers; November 24th, 1990) and Arden (Arden Jane Vickers July 2nd 1998). He attend Ryerson Public School (kindergarten through 5th grade) where he played Romeo in his 3rd grade class production of Romeo and Juliet. It was during his time at Ryerson that Vickers auditioned for The Grand Theatre's production of Peter Pan landing the role of John Darling. Less than a year later, Vickers appeared on the main stage of The Stratford Shakespeare Festival in John Wood's production of Macbeth. In early summer of 2004, Vickers and his family moved to Bermuda (where his parents were raised.) While in Bermuda, Vickers attended Warwick Academy (est. 1662). While at Warwick Academy, Vickers took part in numerous school and community theatre productions including: Willy Russell's Blood Brothers; The History Boys; Henry V; Animal Farm and Macbeth - to name a few.

Vickers was accepted into The Juilliard School's class of 2015 in 2011.
