Help[edit]

 • I have looked at the list above, but my OS is not there, how can I check if it is included in the full template ?
 1. Find where it says <!-- Edit From Here !! --> ",
 2. Scroll down to where it says the comment tags with your OS family name in it.

Ex.
If I was running Ubuntu, I would look for " <--! Linux --> " If I was running Windows XP, I would look for " <--! Windows --> "

 1. Now in that section, look for your OS name

Ex.
I am running Ubuntu .... |ubuntu=Ubuntu
I am running Windows XP .... |windowsxp=Windows XP

 • I have seen that my OS is not included in the Userbox Template, how can I include it ?

Before you go onto this, make sure you have done the step above, if you have and it isn't there then follow these steps :- ( this starts at the end position of the previous question )

 1. In your OS Family list, find where your OS would go ( in alphabetical order )
 2. Find the place and create a new line
 3. Put in a pipe character ( | )
 4. Type your OS's name in it's simplest form and put it in lowercase
 5. Then put the equals sign ( = )
 6. Then type two ( [[ )
 7. Put in your OS's name in which it can be found in Wikipedia ( you may have to search for this )
 8. Put in a pipe character ( | )
 9. Put in your OS's Full Complex Name
 10. Then put two ( ]] )
 11. Make sure you add it to the other section ( <!-- Section 1 --> + <!-- Section 2 --> )

So if I was creating the Fedora Core Entry, in the Linux Section, I would put

|fedora=Fedora Core

And that's it ! You should have added your OS to the list ! If you make a mistake, don't worry as I will be informed when this page is updated, so I will check for any errors.

 • When I look for my OS family, it is not there, what do I do ?
 1. Find the bottom of a section ( it should say <!-- End Of ... --> )
 2. Put in the name of your OS family in comment tags ( <!-- ... --> )
 3. Make sure you add it to the other section ( <!-- Section 1 --> + <!-- Section 2 --> )
 4. Then do what the previous question explains

 • I wish to add another image to the userbox template, what should I do ?

For this problem, I ask if you could request it on my User Talk Page, as it is a bit more complicated to do and you have the problem of Fair Use etc.

Terms Of Use[edit]

I happily welcome additions to this dual boot userbox. I have included what I consider to be the main three OS's, however, I am sure there are many Wikipedians whose OS I have not included. If this is the case, please click ' edit this page' and feature your OS in the list ( it is very simple to add a new one ). If you are not sure about whether you are allowed to contribute something, or are confused on how to do something, please post your question on my User talk page @
