The world of voiceover is fascinating - for those who are in the industry and also for those who are not involved with it. What would a film be like without the magic of a voice in it? Watch a film on National Geographic in mute, and you'll know. A voiceover brings about the involvement and vicarious experience of being there, feeling the ethos of what is being said and moving you to buy, take action, or be engaged.

Rupa has been doing voiceovers since the past eight years and she chose this path when she decided to follow her creative bent of mind and doing something different.

During her voiceover career, she has lent her voice to many corporate films, documentaries, medical and technical narrations, TV and Radio commercials, e-learning projects, TV promos, telephone messages and auto attendant greetings, non-profit ventures, website intros and many such vistas of the voiceover industry.

About her

Rupa has a clear, stylish voice that can sound sound alluring and welcoming for commercials and promos, intelligent and powerful for narrations, or just friendly, warm and approachable.

She speaks English with an international accent and she's also proficient in Hindi, Tamil and Kannada.

Rupa has received professional training at the New York University (NYU) under well known voice actor and theatre/film veteran, Alice Elliott, and earlier under Khodus Wadia, India’s leading voice over practitioner. Rupa also undertook an Audio book workshop with Bruce Kitovich, of Edge Studio, NYC. She recently took the Intensive course on the Art of VoiceActing by James Alburger and Penny Abshire. She is also a trained classical singer.
