  1. ^ Kickers Offenbach were denied a license for initially two years on 24 July 1971 due to their role in the 1971 match fixing scandal, though they had already been relegated based on their sporting performance. However, they were later admitted to the 1972–73 Bundesliga following promotion from the Regionalliga.[1]
