Sartenia Lake (Sangree: Iora, etymologically meaning, in Sangree, "the big lake"), known historically as Sauger Lake or the Great Black Lake, is the collective term for a series of interconnected freshwater lakes located within the interior of the Barnassic Lakeland. In terms of area, it is both the largest lake in the region and among the largest lakes in the known world.
