The Central Europe Pipeline System (CEPS) is a NATO owned pipeline for fuel in central Europe. Together with the Northern Europe Pipeline System (NEPS), it connects military airports in Western Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands with 20 own depots. The overall length is 6,000 kilometres. 40 high pressure pumps are installed along the route. In peacetime, the infrastructure is also used for civil purposes as military contingents are not always fully exploited.
CEPS has been established during the Cold War in the 1950s by the American, French and British Allies and is still in use. The most recent extension was between Aalen (Baden-Württemberg) and Leipheim (Bavaria) introduced on 2008-10-21 (80 kilometres).[1]
The operating company for German territory is Fernleitungsbetriebsgesellschaft GmbH (FBG) headquartered in Bad Godesberg and established in 1956.[2] FBG is a parent of Industrieverwaltungsgesellschaft (IVG). In war times, it is operated by the armed forces of the NATO countries where the part of the pipeline is located.

Hi,
A lot of airports use CEPS. Something like 70% of Frankfurt and nearly all of Schiphol's requirements are covered by the system
