Released in 2014, Walking the Camino: Six Ways to Santiago is a documentary film providing an up-close look at one of humanity’s most time-honored traditions- the Camino de Santiago. By following pilgrims from all walks of life as they attempt to cross an entire country on foot with only a backpack, a pair of boots and an open mind, we witness the Camino’s magnetic and miraculous power to change lives. Driven by an inexplicable calling and a grand sense of adventure, each pilgrim throws themselves heart-and-soul into their physical trek to Santiago and, most importantly, their personal journey to themselves.[2]

Press[edit]

Through grass-roots efforts the film self-distributed the film in the United States and Canada using a social media team, consultants, and positive reviews to get media coverage in markets throughout the country. Writer Daniel M. Gold of the New York Times said, " Viewer beware: The impulse to take a hike is strong. Wear sturdy shoes.[3]
