Pooja Ramakrishnan is an Indian actress in Tamil industry. She is also a Model and classical Bharatanatyam dancer.
Personal life[edit]
Pooja Ramakrishnan was born in a Tamil family. Her grandparents are from Vallioor, Tirunelveli. She is pursuing her masters in Visual Communication in SRM Katangulathur after the completion of bachelors in the same field. From a very young age, she grew up practicing Bharatanatyam. She has danced and represented her state Tamil Nadu in Mahabalipuram Dance festival for three years (2013, 2015, 2016), under the guidance of Pandit Naresh Pillai { "Receiver of Global Achiever Award" } and have done many other dance shows under the guidance of Guru Smt. Kokila Sriram, Smt. Geetha Navaneethan and Smt Abhirami. She has won lot of prizes for her dance. During her college days, she has started her practice in hockey. She is interested in drawing and art works and has won state level award for poster designing under the topic of AIDS awareness in her high school days. Also she is active in swimming, Badminton, writing poems and singing.
Acting life[edit]
She started her acting through theatres. She worked in two theatres, Bombay Chanakya's Kalamandir and actor and news reader Fathima Babu's FABS theatre. Her debut was in an ad for Madhurai Meenakshi Mission Hospital, a theatrical ad. It was directed by Sudha Kongara, "Irudhi sutru", "Sala kadoos", director. Then her debut in a feature film was in "Senjittale en Kadhala" by Ezhil Durai as a comedian. Her first movie as a lead was in the first ever tamil sci-fi movie, "Vinveli payana kurippugal" by Jayaprakash.The film played as an official selection in 28 different international film festivals, ultimately winning 12 different awards, including Cult Critic Awards. The film premiered in theatres on July 20, 2018. She did a cameo role in Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, as a villager in combo with Gautham Karthik and Vijay sethupathy. She has also done comedian role in Theethum Nanrum by debut director, Rasu Ranjith, (Nalaiya iyakkunar Season 5 winner), {film is yet to be certified}. She has also done many short films and album songs.
Modelling life[edit]
She has participated in many shows and won various subtitles, Miss Chennai International Admirable Smile 2018, Model Hunt Chennai Best Attitude 2019, Miss Elegant Photogenic 2019 and Miss Diva Best Talent 2019. She is also Miss Diva 2nd Runner up 2019.
Director life[edit]
Being a Visual Communication student, she is also into direction. She has directed many short films and an album song and has won few awards in short film fests.
