Zhou Guangyu

Zhou Guangyu (Chinese: ; pinyin: ; born xx) was a Chinese biochemist and geneticist at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry.

Early life and education[edit]

Zhou Guangyu was born on xx in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. She was the 3rd of six children of the civil engineer Zhou Fengjiu, and the older sister of physicist Zhou Guangzhao. She graduated from xx University in 19xx, and then did graduate work in the Laboratory of Microbiology, University of Louvain, Héverlé-lez-douvain, Belgium, where she earned a Ph.D. in 1951. citation:Chow, K.Y. 1951. Professional career[edit]

Professor Zhou returned to China in 1958 as one of the initial group of scientists recruited to join the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry by its founder Professor Wang Yinglai. citation: Zhang, B., Xue, P. & Wang, E.
