Song

'Insatiable' is a debut solo song by Irish artist, Nadine Coyle, member of girl-band Girls Aloud. The song will be released as Coyle's lead single from her first debut solo album, which is also titled, Insatiable. The single was wrote by Nadine herself and Guy Chambers.[1] The single is due to be released on the first of November 2010, a week before band mate, Cheryl Cole releases her fourth debut single, "Promise This".

Background[edit]

Nadine Coyle announced plans to release a solo album during Girls Aloud's hiatus.[2][3][4] Despite it was known that three major record companies wanted Nadine signed to their label, it was reported that Coyle had failed to gain a label, after being turned down by Girls Aloud label, Polydor Records.[5][6] It was later announced that Coyle would release her debut single and her studio album from her own founded record company, Black Pen Records. But in August 2010, Coyle signed an offical deal with supermarket, Tescos.[7][8]

Critical reception[edit]

BBC said the song "showcases a harder, guitar-led sound for the pop singer."[1] It is said to be "ballsy and Eighties-influenced", receiving comparisons to The Bangles.[9][10]

Coyle spoke to the BBC and said, "To be able to create an album where you are in complete control of your own work is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an artist."[1]

Music Video[edit]

The music video was directed by Wayne Isham, and shot in Los Angeles She will perform at London's G-A-Y on Saturday, 30 October.
