Marian Hubbard was a zoology professor at Wellesley College. She held the titles of Instructor (1894-1901), Associate Professor (1902-1916), and Professor (1917-). She was born to Rodolphus and Hannah Elvira (Giles) Hubbard in McGregor, Iowa on August 31, 1868. She attended Mt. Holyoke College from 1886-89. She got her B.S at the University of Chicago in 1894. She was a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. [1] [2]

She studied poison glands of some California salamanders[3], the order of succession of somites in the chick[4], and heredity and variations in certain beetles[5].
