I am a Professor of Biology with a cross-appointment in Computer Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. I received my PhD in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1983, with Allan C. Wilson. My research interests are molecular population genetics, systematics, and evolution, and the application of genomics to these fields. I have taught core-curriculum courses in Genetics [1] and Evolution [2], as well as Advanced Genetics [3], Evolutionary Genetics [4], and History of Biology [5]. A description of my research and a list of downloadable PDF articles is at [6].
