Soraya Me'shell O'Sullivan (born on January 15) is an American singer/songwriter and artist. Born and raised in Florida, she performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child and rose in the late 2000's as lead singer of R&B girl-group Destiny's Children, Managed by her Mom Antionette O'Sullivan and Jada Reid, the group hoped one day to became one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time.

Early Life

Soraya O'Sullivan was born in Florida to Antionette O'Sullivan she works as an Registered Nurse. Soraya's first name was based on Latina singer Soraya and her middle name was based on the singer Me'Shell Ndegéocello.

Soraya first attended Central Carter School this is were the passion for music started. Central Carter School is a Performing Arts school in Lauderdale Lakes .She used to participated in several performances.She used to be in things and perform in drama,chorus,and dance.She also was on the step team and played the recorder in Kindergarten. Her first singing solo was in second grade and she did great. She also won a pageant at Central Charter School and was apart of the fashion show in third grade thanks to Ms.Brady . During this time,Soraya played in sports like Tennis,Soccer,and Basketball and was in advance ballet .Unfortunately, She left Central Carter School for Renaissance Charter School at University for fourth grade. She made friends really quick though so it wasn't really a problem.

On Black History Month in fourth grade her teachers Ms.Alvarado/Mrs.Toledo choose her to recite a poem she wrote in front of several people she got really nervous cause it was her first time standing in front of people since third grade . She turned out to be very successful and had the all the people clapping.She always had a very high score in writing .In sixth grade she took a very deep interest in writing and decided to take writing talent very serious.Her best-friend Jada Reid was a famous singer and his name is Zolo.So she started to write songs and give them to her best friend to give to her brother Zolo and when he saw my lyrics he thought that they were magnificent and finally used it in a song called "Need Somebody".Jada Reid's and Soraya's family was really pleased with this.She decided then to make a youtube channel around this time she also adapted a sense of humor. She decided to pot a video on Youtube with a few friends and received a round 700 veiws and has around 410 subscribers right now. She also has a girl-group called Destiny's Children and the group consist of 3 girls her her friend Ariana,and Malikah. The music they make is based on Hip-hop/R & B/ Neo-Soul/Soul.

Loses

In 2015 sadly and happily, She decided to be a choreographer for a dance to '' Say It'' by Tory Lanez and the group she instructed had five people in the group.She did win out of her class but when it came to the whole sixth grade her group won fourth place.This was the biggest thing she has done since she Central Carter School.It also made her really stressed cause the most of the people in her group didn't follow directions very well and played around constantly.She walked home very disappointed but ok at the same day because she remembers to learn from her mistakes.

Well the celebrities that influence her are Aaliyah,Beyonce, Bryson Tiller, Micheal Jackson,Janet Jackson, and Jennifer Hudson

Accomplishments

1. She has Advance classes in 7th grade.
2. She has gotten medals and trophies for play Soccer ,Tennis, and Basketball.
3. She got 400 subscribers and 700 views on a video on YouTube.
4. Wining a lot of things.
5. She made some lyrics that a celebrity added to their song.
6. High scores on writing tests.
7. Play instruments such as(piano, drum, guitar and recorder)
8. More and More etc........

2016-present

Soraya moved schools to Ramblewood Middle for seventh grade year .She made some company there as usual went to school and took things very seriously. Education was first before music claim her mom. Her mom said if you do anything including music make sure education comes first.

Hiatus

In 2016, Soraya took a long hiatus due to personal issues .She stopped doing art and writing music for the people the fan that love her .She also decided to take a long break from social media to many things happen on there. Due to how long she has been off track she forgot to do a lot of things with music and didn't like music as well as she used to due to personal issues. She's been way to far out of the game for to long and forgot how to write songs.2017-persent she is tryna work her way back up to were she used to be one piece by a piece she is not really sure if she can write her own songs again but is working really hard on it. She lost some rhythm in her dance moves and was really lacking.She created a new Instagram ,snapchat ,and youtube account for the better.

2017-present

Soraya is currently building up her confidence and started to sing again this summer she is thinking of going to Apollo in New York and is hoping that she wont get booed of like other celebrities did. There's this one person Soraya really loves their energy and passion for music and her name is Andriana Grant (her friend) is an amazing dancer/song-writer ,her talent and passion for music is very high. Andriana is very talented has her big influence is Chris Brown they both kinda of have the same personality's. She also writes dope songs and Soraya hopes one day to work on a song together.

Helping the World

Soraya loves to do things for the less fortunate and for people with disabilites..... she goes on mile runs to help causes such as alzheimers ,cancer, and other mental issues.She also donates food and clothes to the less fortunate especially some friends at school that cant afford as much things as she could .She believes everybody no matter what race or anything you are deserve a good education. She also was previously in a group called My Future My Choice its for teenagers her age and helps them when to walk away for abuse and sexual assault. It also is a group that tries to prevent teen pregnancy and to have protective sex (Use a Condom). It also teaches to respect yourself in physical and mental ways.
