Zim

This was the first even international cricket game for the Zimbabwe National Mens Cricket team at the Wandered stadium in Namibia. Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat. Nick Welch was making his international cricket debut and was caught behind the wicket on the first delivery. Captain Craig Evine also dismissed for a duck added to Zimbabwe's top-order troubles. The team ended the power play at 30-4. Wickets continued to fall at intervals, but Sikander Raza (39 runs off 35 balls) and Wessly Madhevere (22 runs off 24 balls) provided stability. Zimbabwe completed their allotted 20 overs, finishing their innings at 121/9. The Namiban team cycled through seven bowlers throughout the innings with all bowlers picking up at least one wicket. Gerhard Erasmus had the best figures getting 3/15 in 4 overs.

The Zimbabwean bowling unit achieved an early breakthrough when Richard Ngarava dismissed Michael van Lingen. However, they struggled to secure further early wickets. Nikolaas Davin took center stage for Namibia, amassing an unbeaten 80 runs from 44 deliveries with a strike rate of 181. Namibia successfully chased down the target in just 14 overs. Zimbabwe's bowling contingent experimented with seven bowlers but could only manage to capture three wickets before Namibia reached the required total. Richard Ngarava delivered the best figures concluding with 2/15 in 3 overs. Davin was awarded the player of the match title for his rapid run chase.
