The Lemon Press is a student satirical magazine at the University of York. It was founded in 2009 and is affiliated with the University of York Students' Union.

In 2010 it won the NUS Award for Best Student Media, within a year of its foundation. It was praised for its popularity online for covering online events, notably the 2010 general election. It was described as offering 'unashamed entertainment value, with a reputation for balancing snappy journalism with provoking illustration'.[1]
In 2014, two members of the society left, accusing it of a 'lad culture', something the society rejected, saying that at least one of them was more motivated that she had lost an election than what she stated.[2]
In 2014 the magazines was shortlisted for the Student Media Awards 2014 for 'Student publication of the year'.[3]
In 2018, the paper investigated the York Vision's claim to be the ‘UK’s most awarded student newspaper’. Ultimately, they established that the Vision is more likely to be the UK's fourth most awarded student newspaper.[4] In response, the Vision adapted its claim to "one of the most awarded student publications".[5]
