Here's my list of edits. I mostly fix 'little things', such as disambiguation pages, or typos that I see. I also like to add well-referenced pages to articles' 'external links' sections, or reference lists.

Suggested edits for other Wikipedians

I have unearthed a fair amount of interesting information about the subjects of my comics. However, I am not in the habit of adding my own work as references / 'external links' to Wikipedia articles, since I would be seen to be 'benefiting' from the extra traffic this would send to my website.

Having said this, there are many Wikipedia articles that would be improved by incorporating information which I have researched as part of my comics and blog posts.

Here's a list of articles that could be improved. Including suggested references on my website, and suggestions for what about the article could be adjusted. I'll let other Wikipedians make the edits if they agree.

• St Matthew Island - St Matthew Island comic about the reindeer population, and blog post about the true history of the St Matthew Island reindeer. In other words, there is conjecture about whether the 'tale' of the reindeer's demise (as told in my comic, and other sources such as the book Natural Capitalism) is fully consistent with the reality of the situation: did they die from over-consuming the lichen, or from an especially cold winter?
• 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens - Has lots of geological information right now, but not much information about the ecological/biological destruction and recover of Mount St. Helens. See my Type III comic about the Mount St. Helens eruption and my blog post about Mount St. Helens wildlife recovery for information about the bounce-back of the ecology post-eruption. Good references listed within that blog post under the "Mount St. Helens" heading.
• Biomimicry - I list some of the limitations to the concept of Biomimicry (which I call "naive Biomimicry") in this article about my Thin Air comic.
• Jan Baptist van Helmont - I describe the errors / poor practices of van Helmont as a scientist. The Hershey reference I cite is a good source of information.
• Rat Park - My Rat Park comic is intended to provide a solid overview of the 2 most famous Rat Park experiments (nicknamed "the seduction experiment" and "kicking the habit", though these terms were not mentioned in the scientific papers). Also, my 'making of Rat Park' blog article is filled with my insights into the research process, scans of 1970s/1980s newspaper articles about the experiments, and examples of common misconceptions about the experiments.
  • This is probably the biggest request that I have: I would like someone to greatly expand the Rat Park article's Related Research section to include a list of follow-up experiments to Bruce Alexander's Rat Park experiments. Categorise each published paper/experiment into "fail" and "replicated". Doing this would provide greater clarity to internet discussions/arguments like this where people try to understand the external validity of Rat Park.
  • It would be helpful to include both papers that closely replicate the original experiments (Wistar rats and morphine), but also include other variations, such as cocaine and monkeys.
• Bruce K. Alexander - his Wikipedia article feels a little incomplete/under-referenced right now (June 2013). His own website is a good source of info, as is my making of Rat Park blog post (check the newspaper clippings) and my article about the post-Rat Park research of Bruce Alexander.
