"Persona" is the tenth episode of the American animated television series The Spectacular Spider-Man. It originally aired in the United States on the Kids WB! programming block on The CW Television Network on May 17, 2008, with a TV-Y7-FV parental guidance rating. The episode sees the protagonist, the titular Spider-Man, as he becomes exposed to an alien symbiote that grants him enhanced strength. Simultaneously, his public image is steadily deteriorating as the Chameleon starts performing criminal acts disguised as the hero, so Spider-Man is forced to team up with cat burglar, the Black Cat in put an end to it.

"Persona" was directed by Dave Fausett from the script by Matt Wayne. Wayne, who had penned two other episodes of the series previously, enjoyed writing the episode, as he felt comfortable writing action-oriented scenes and was found entertainment in the flirtation occurring between Black Cat and Spider-Man. Black Cat was voiced by actress Tricia Helfer, who had received widespread recognition for her role in the television series Battlestar Galactica. The episode received generally positive reviews from television critics; reviews highlighted its fast-pace and introduction of the symbiote, but reaction to the fight sequences were more lukewarm.
